Grace’s Prayer Ministry
Grace is well known in the region for its rich and robust Prayer Ministry Life. Reaching across denominations it is an ecumenical effort to connect those in need with prayerful intercession. In addition to prayer ministers available for personal prayer at Sunday services Grace sponsors a local chapter of the Order of St. Luke and along with regular meeting programs offers regional and national participation in this group. We also offer two distinct Prayer List opportunities. And there is a very active weekly contemplative Centering Prayer group. Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. there is aHoly eucharist with Healing Prayers offering anointing with oil and laying on of hands.
Healing Prayer Ministers Are Available to You! In-Person meetings unfortunately are limited at this time by the COVID19 virus. One of the things missing on Sunday mornings is the availability of Healing Prayer Ministers to hear our petitions to the Lord and pray with us. If anyone would like prayer over the phone, please contact any one of the following Prayer Ministers and they will be pleased to pray with you over the phone. We do not need to be face to face for Jesus to hear our prayers. Many times, He healed people from a long distance. So, if you are in need of prayer, please contact any one of the following Prayer Ministers and they will be happy to pray and intercede with you. Their phone numbers are available in the church directory. Blessings for peace and comfort at this challenging time within our great nation,

Parish Prayer Circle
This is an email based network of prayer warriors specifically involved with prompt needs. Emergency health issues and personal needs both in and outside the Grace community are welcomed. This group is devoted to offering up the needs of those who are suddenly in situations where multiple intercessions offer comfort and reassurance. This network is broad encompassing national prayer groups. Names offered here are sometimes added to the Parish List for longer periods of intercession. Needs may be submitted to the Church Office (828) 254-1086.
The Order of St. Luke is an inter-denominational organization dedicated to the Christian healing ministry, The local chapter has an Intercessory Prayer Team committed to praying daily for those asking for prayer. Names are inserted under various prayer categories such as Physical Healing, Peace and Comfort etc. A name is carried on the list for two months. If a longer time frame is needed the name (first name only) is listed in a long term area and carried as long as needed. To add a name to the list please contact Jeanne Robertson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. – Suspended temporarily during the COVID19 Pandemic available on ZOOM here.
Centering Prayer is a method of silent prayer that prepares us to receive the gift of contemplative prayer, prayer in which we experience God’s presence within us, closer than breathing, closer than thinking, closer than consciousness itself. This method of prayer is both a relationship with God and a discipline to foster that relationship. All are welcome.
